Ms. Auel did a monumental amount of research for these books, her attention to accurate archeological studies and sites in Europe has helped her build a believable and touching world to follow the growth and development of the young girl.

I do warn you up front, the series isn't completed yet. It is rumored that when Ms. Auel was collecting information on book five, she was also researching for book six as well. *crosses fingers*

The long awaited book five, however will be released April 30th, 2002!
